KIND was founded in 2011 by Yonav Partana, Adjie Negara, and Ajiv Parnata. Being friends since high school (SMA Negeri 8 Jakarta), Yonav and Adjie share the same passion, architecture. Their collaboration dates back since 2002, when Yonav and Adjie were fresh graduates from Faculty of Architecture Parahyangan University and School of Architecture ITB, respectively.
Yonav continued his study at TU DELFT in the Netherlands. Meanwhile, Adjie moved to work in Singapore and later attained his Master Degree from NUS. In 2010, Adjie – still living in Singapore – and Yonav who had returned to Jakarta, started their experiment on a long-distance collaboration. Their “experiment” was awarded 1st Place Design Competition for Master Plan of Masjid Sriwijaya, Palembang. In the same year, Vincent won 1st Place of the prestigious Menara IA-ITB Design Competition currently known as Techno Tower, Jakarta and joined KIND as Board of Designers. Together with Ajiv, who had started his own interior design company, they established PT. KIND Indonesia, a company currently engaged in architecture, interior design, and urban design.
KIND is a melting pot of ideas, a collaborative work for creative and hard working individuals with colorful backgrounds and interests. All share the same passion: good design in architecture/interior design/urban design for people.
